5-star hotel with Óscar Niemeyer design and on-site casino in Funchal
Design & Architecture
The Pestana Casino Park Hotel & Casino is housed in a building designed by the world-renowned architect Óscar Niemeyer. The hotel sits within Santa Caterina Park, offering large landscaped gardens that combine nature with the building's striking concrete forms. Guests have direct access to the in-house casino, which provides entertainment and nightlife without leaving the property.
Rooms & Views
All guest rooms come with private balconies, many offering a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. Each room includes a seating area and a satellite LCD TV. The accommodations feature tea and coffee makers, and some rooms provide views of Funchal Bay.
Dining
The hotel operates six dining venues, including the Panoramic Restaurant with far-reaching views of the bay and pool area. The Aqua restaurant overlooks the hotel's gardens and casino, while the Sunset Restaurant offers a varied menu and a cocktail bar. Daily themed buffets are served at the panoramic restaurant, and a complimentary breakfast buffet is included with many bookings.
Wellness & Pools
Guests have access to three swimming pools: one indoor, one outdoor, and a third outdoor pool with a view of Funchal Bay. The Pestana Spa offers a range of therapeutic treatments, a sauna, hammam, and hot tub. A fitness centre is available, and the hotel provides sun loungers and beach towels for poolside relaxation.
Entertainment & Family
The on-site casino operates for evening entertainment, and themed dinner nights are held regularly. For families, the hotel offers a children's playground, a games room, and a kids' club with activities during the summer months. Additional services include babysitting, bicycle rental, and a 24-hour front desk.
